Nundle gold fields first visit

First time out with a metal detector. Checking out the Nundle area and came up some scrap. Half a horse or bullock shoe? Barbed wire, small bits of fencing wire, old crushed tin can and small flakes of rusty bits n pieces. Good experience with the machine time on the ground and a good look a round for the next visit. Don’t know what the metal piece is with the screw at the top is. Any ideas ? Found around some historical diggings. Also came across an old square post could this be an claim marker ?

Nice keep trying ,if your finding old relics, then the golds not that far away ,
Was in nundle in May for a week was a great little town spent most nights in the pub and the days exploring, got a nice little 0.5 gram nuggy at the top of hanging rock in possum gully,
