[Bob and Diane]

We are new to fossicking, although having tried a few times over the years we have found everything except gold.
We have a minelab XT17000 which we are thinking of replacing with a Sovereign GT or a X terra 705, would we notice much difference?
Also we are heading to Tibooburra next month to fossick, can anyone advise on locations?

Welcome Bob & Diane, good luck with your prospecting adventures!

I personally just purchased an xterra 705. It's 3 frequencies and ability to change between coin/relic and prospecting modes was the reason I went for that particular model. Best price new that I could find was$850, although they can be found 2nd hand for under $600. I'm not familiar with the sovereign GT, although there are plenty of friendly people on this forum to help.
