For the last 35 years I've been digging holes and/or filling them in for other people, now I've retired I can play around doing that for myself. ;) I live on the Mornington Peninsula and love fishing from a kayak and camping. I've played around with a sieve and pan for several years and now I'm interested in having a go at the electronic detecting side of things

cheers :)

Hi Xcvator, and welcome to the forum. The world of metal detectors can be a minefield for someone who is not familiar with them, but you will find heaps of information on here to help you choose the right detector for what you want to use it for. If you are not sure about anything, just post a question on here.

Mike.

Welcome to PA Xcvato, as Mike said..enough info on here to get more than a head start!

What's wrong with that? A general purpose hole can be filled with water to practise high banking, use as a fire pit, bury the neighbour's cat etc. I reckon most people have one or two at hand?

Most of the holes I did were general purpose that the client could use for whatever they wanted, tho most people found they were difficult to relocate to their requirements

Now client specific holes were a "hole" different ball game and I loved digging those, very precise and exact , so of course the cost went up enormously ;)

The best holes to dig were for family pet horses 8.( general fee for 1 of those was 3 bottles of "Glenmorange " YUM :)
