hi folks. been reading this forum enough that I thought I better sign up .
bought 3 aldi detectors 2 weeks ago for fun and now I understand how people get hooked on this detecting game.
so far have only tried a few local parks to get the hang of it and must say for a cheapo machine it works well also went out and bought a garrett pinpointer a week later.

With the the CTX3030 - Always learning and the 17" can cause some issues when in trashy ground.

11" is OK

6" I get so frustrated LOL

Aldi - Have found the discrimination can be touchy at times and if the 2 x 9v batteries are not good quality - Performance is suss OR it could be me.

Only use it under stairs and under floor boards when space is restricted.

I don't think there,s anything I can add on settings for alditector just read Heathos thread and watch the video and if all else fails ,switch it to all metal.
