Hi all I'm new to this prospecting thing. I thought to myself a few weeks back "hey I live in WA why not make the most of what this state has to offer", and now I have the gold bug and want to get started in this hobby.
I would like to buy a detector and have seen the at gold is around my price range to start with. Are these any good in WA conditions? If not can someone point me in the right direction?

I own an AT Gold but haven't used it in WA so can't really comment on how it will go. Have a bit of a search around the forum and if you can't find the answer you're looking for, post your question in the Garrett section under Metal Detectors, you'll get a few more replies that way.
