Went to Payne's find without the whites tdi, did'nt get it in time. The good news is, I used my minelab eureka gold, walked 60-70 metres from the car and within 15 minutes, got my first ever nugget.
Never really had any faith in the eureka, but it proved me wrong. Does'nt go real deep, but that may depend on nugget size.
Over about 10 hours, it picked up 10 pieces from a match head size, up to about a small marble.
Extra sensitive with small stuff and contrary to the instruction manual, 60khz (fine gold), actually goes deeper than 6khz for larger deeper gold.
Very good discrimination.
My settings were; 60khz, fast track, boost on, sensitivity max depends on ground.
This setting can be very noisy with boost on, only answer is go to 20khz.
The dirt was digable, so when no more signals were heard, I shovelled 30mm off and detected over it again, got 2 more small ones, all targets in a 2 sq m area.
