Hey guys,
31 year old guy from Perth looking to enjoy a new hobbie and have some fun on the beaches while camping.
Mostly interested in treasure\coin hunting, although i work FIFO in the goldfields so may be able to sweet talk the right people in having a crack for some fun.
After reading this forum and a few others around the place i decided i wanted to grab a minelab 705 as my first detector. It seemed to tick all the boxes and not be too extravagantly priced. I posted earlier in the minelab 705 topic about my score. I believe it to be a bit of a bargain, picked up a lightly used 705 gold pack with garret pro pointer for $550. Can't wait to get home this week and have a play around with it.
I have had a google and there is a west cost metal detectors club, has anyone had any experiences with them? I may pop into their next club meeting and try and learn a thing or two.
