Newbie from goulburn

Hi fellow fossickers.A friend of mine showed me some sapphires from around here which has given me the bug.I am getting a bit of gear together in preparation of getting into this addictive hobby.There seems to be a few fossicking spots around here to have a crack at it. SEE YA ON THE CREEKS.

Hi Chris,I plan on chasing the yellow stuff as well.Bought a couple of pans last week.I've been spending a bit of time here on the forum,watching YouTube videos etc just to get a few pointers. SEE YA ON THE CREEKS.

Welcome Eldorado, I too used to hunt for saphires around the Eldorado area as a kid with my parents over 40 years ago, good luck I have now found the Gold bug.

I'm not from Eldorado,from Goulburn.Eldorado seemed like an appropriate username because we holidayed at Beechworth a couple of years ago and went to have a look at the dredge out there.Turns out when looking into the family tree early this year that a few of my relatives from 1800s are buried in the Eldorado cemetery.No doubt they too were chasing the gold.I would love to get back there again and follow in their footsteps.May send you a p.m when heading back there again.

Good to see another Goulburnite up there to join those from the Southern Highlands and the ACT on the forum.
You will find lots of information and comraderie here.
