Hello forum,
I recently bought a medal detector, it's a minelab go find 60. I've been having a ton of fun down the local parks, not even found anything noteworthy yet but still.
I decided to take her to the beach, Brighton adelaide to be specific and I found in the dry loose sand i had no issues picking up what few targets were there. But when I ventured down into the wet sand the detector would go absolutely mental and signal all metals types literally everywhere.
I isolated a few targets I thought could be real but I dug and I dug beyond about 12" which I assume to be over the depth the detector will work and found nothing.
Am I doing something wrong? I realise it's a very basic beginner model detector, I had sensitivity low and it didn't seem to make a difference, I see reviews where people say the go find works decent on the beach, so was it the particular beach that's my issue or is it user error on my behalf.
Any advice would be muchly appreciated
