Hi we are hoping to come to Australia to visit my sister in Sydney and also friends in Melbourne my husband has gold fever and he would really love to go gold prospecting we got a fossickers license last year for NSW but couldnt hire any equipment or find anywhere to go prospecting could anyone help within these areas we would be staying at Blacktown in Sydney and Echuca Moama New South Wales. We will be coming may June time

G'day DIW and welcome to PA. Not sure about NSW but once your in Victoria (Echuca) check out the members threads and see what meet up's are organised. You'll have to get 10 post's up and the members section will reveal itself for you. You'll also need a Miners Right for Vic which will give you 10 years fun. Doubt you'll be able to hire equipment from Echuca but you should be able to from Bendigo or Maryborough. Being based in Echuca you'll need your own transport to meet up with other members. Give us a yell when your in Echuca and we'll try and organise a meet if there isn't one already. If your looking at hiring a machine my recommendation is the SDC 2300 for ease of use and a well proven gold finder :Y:. Do a bit of research on hiring equipment and then contact them by email so your sorted when you arrive. Places to look at are Miner's Den (Bendigo) Coiltek Gold Centre (Maryborough) Maldon Gold Centre (Maldon) Goldsearch Australia (Dunolly) hope this helps.
