Extremely new to Gold Finding / Treasure hunting. So new in fact i have not even got any equipment yet.

I figured i would join a sound forum, ask my questions and learn what i can before making my first Detector purchase.

Hi James,

I am also new to the forum and prospecting/Fossicking.

I am lucky enough to have my Stepmum who purchased an awesome detector that was on sale and it saved her a few grand, but with the weather being so cold we haven't really had the chance to use it yet to see if it was worth the money it cost.

Gday James, welcome aboard mate. Plenty of info on here with regards to detectors and everything you need to know. I'm relatively new myself and still consider myself a newby. With the help of everyone on here I've managed to learn a lot and even find some gold with my new detector.
Have you got your on eye on any detector in particular?

yes walshie - i have been asking in the metal detectors forum and i think i have decided on the X-Terra 705 Gold, going to anaconda tomorrow to pick her up as its the last day on sale
