HI ALL, My names Aaron im new to the prospecting game but very interested to learn more about it. Im currently planning a weekend trip to gympie but unsure what the designated prospecting area is like. Is gold still their? and is the grass currently short as i have read some old forums and its a snake heaven and grass was 6 foot. Also any tips and areas to try. Thanks.

Hi aza. Yes there is still gold at the designated area and its easier to find once you get a feel for the place. Ive never left there without some gold in the pan and have also found some good gold with the goldbug2 (biggest speccie 6.5 grams). The snakes are there too but just keep your eyes open and you'll be fine. Was there last weekend and the grass is pretty high at the moment. Maybe you can get yobs to take his mower

Thats good to hear Tribsa, as for snakes well ill deal with them i guess the misses is scared of them but i guess itll make me a hero haha. I was thinking of hireing out an atx gold. not sure how good they are and its got a small detector on the bottom. hahah sounds like it needs a mow. If anyones free be happy to catch up and learn some things.
