Hi, I'm Anthony.
I'm new to this forum, I've been prospecting since the mid eighties around central Vic, my great great uncle came over
to prospect in central Vic in the early 1800. I currently use ML GP3000 with coiltek 18" DD, GPX4500 with coiltek 18" mono and GPX5000 with coiltek 14" DD.
I like researching the goldfields and like researching lost Treasure in and around Australia.

I'm Planning to MD at and around Dunolly this Wednesday at a few sites.

Hope to see some of you out there. I hope i can help and answer questions on the forum.

Thanks

Welcome Anthony
I see you have a number of detectors. I have a 5000 and only been playing around for a few years. I am interested in maybe buying the 2400 and to 7000.?

How do you decide which one to use and where?

I am a bit scared re the outlay however they do keep their value. ( better than a boat )

Scotty

Hi Scott, thanks for the welcome.

I myself have a rule of thumb - 1. i dont go and buy the new model that comes out they always seem to be upgraded soon after. 2. i wait till my detector pays for itself before purchasing
the next model.

I read alot of reviews on the new 7000, it just looks to military for me and the price tag wow!

but thats just me.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback.
I will be hunting for a while longer for the payoff!!
Maybe next trip !!
Do you use the different detectors based on the area? Our is it just gut feel?
