new to prospecting

Hi all my name is Scott I live in the Latrobe valley and have only just started prospecting. Been out twice, got colors both times and had so much fun just to get away from the normal busy life. I enjoy reading and having a laugh(not a bad 1 though lol) at other peoples post and look forward to many peoples experiences. Keep up the good work

Welcome Scott, i see your in Gippsland. What areas have you looked at. In the late 1960's i used to fossick around Walhalla have you tried there.

Thanks nocents and jaros for the welcome, I have been reading lots of posts and have learnt so much but you never stop learning. I have only been to Russell creek and nothing around walhalla treing to find creeks around there that are not on the no go list but I'm only new to this so I'm still looking

Another Gippslander, and from the Valley no less! Welcome to the forum. Russel's creek is a good spot, quite a few people go there. I'm sure up around Walhalla would be a good spot to look but make sure you're not visiting one of the creeks and rivers on the exempt list. From memory the Thompson river and Stingers creek are.
