Hi to all. We are newbies and retired for ten years and travelled the same road many times, thought we would go bush and gold detecting.

Our first foray was to Warwick, which was disappointing only finding empty shell casings etc.
Now we are ready to go further afield but don't know where that field is.

We love to stay in the bush and camp, I can knit and my husband can detect. Anyone have ideas where to start.

Welcome - unfortunately there is no easy lunch out there - the best one is the one you prepare yourself and then hope chance puts you onto a spot where all your hard prep-work comes together.

If you go where gold is known to have been found, you may be lucky enouh to pick up some scraps ..... or the bullets, nails and buttons of those who beat us to it.

Good luck out there

Thank guy for your info.
We have been doing research and plan a trip in autum.
Hope to catch up out there somewhere.
Gae.
