Hi all I have recently become interested in fossicking due to a massive life change due to illness any information about fossicking in south australia gems, fossils, meteorites would be great. I would love to find I a nice gem to make a necklace for my wife. I would possibly like to join a club in the near future. I am based in Adelaide eastern foothills but I have regularly been camping and off road driving up north. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not really in to gems though as a boy I use to collect them. I'm hooked on gold detecting at the moment. So can't really help you with the gem side of things. I'm sure there's plenty of members who can. You are doing the right thing by putting yourself out there. When I first started detecting I didn't know anyone with similar interests but now have a good collection of PA gold detecting buddies. It's so good to share your passion with like minded people, and PA is a great place to find them. Cheers Dignit
