Hi,

I've never done any prospecting but have thought about starting for many years. I have a (far fetched) dream to buy a Minelab GPZ 7000 detector, quit my city job and go bush to find riches!

My dream was further reinforced when I came across a couple of grey nomads in their Winnebago up near the Tanami Gold nine NT last year. The old bloke showed me a 3kg bag of gold nuggets that he had found over the past 2 weeks of prospecting in the NT.

Now all I've got to do is get advice, oh and tell my wife that I've quit my job to become a gold prospector! :)

Well good luck on both counts MJ. I reckon finding your fortune may turn out less stressful (or dangerous) than telling your wife what you're up to.
Oh, by the way, welcome to PA

Welcome MJ, you'll love this hobby, 3kg of nuggets, now that's why I should be detecting. Truly I love my panning and sluicing. And now a Banjo, yet to try it but it catches gold that's for sure.
