G'day everyone. New to this forum. Used to bush prospect with the first of the xtreme's and stuck at it for a few years but never had any luck. I had a few years gap and then bought an E-Track to beach or paddock detect as digging in the Victorian goldfields was just too hard. I ended up with various mid life medical issues and did not get to use the detector so I have very limited experience using this machine. Recently started to feel that metal detecting was back on the agenda and want to get out to use it. I am thinking that I would start on some of the beaches around Port Phillip bay just to get practice and then go from there. It would be good to get outdoors for a change and I am so looking forward to it. I think I have the feaver again and I do not mean a temperature ha! Many thanks for this site. :)

Many thanks BigSam I am so looking forward to hearing that whoop from the machine. I am told that the beaches up where you are can be very rewarding but I thing skill with a bit of good fortune can go a long way.

Cheers

Hi Gav and thanks for supplying some inspiration. I looked at some videos from Minelab and that got the interest flowing so can't wait to get out there again.
