Morning all,
I'm a newbie on this site , for the last 35 years I have sort out fossils from outback NSW . I have a collection of around 6000.
My husband fossicks for gold and often whilst he does that I hunt for gems .
We have found a lot of tiny ones ,garnets and zircons mostly but a few years back my husband found 2 diamonds ..quite large ones.We know this because they tested positive with our diamond tester that we constantly carry with us...My father in law knows of a few old stories about diamond mines from the 1950's in places you would hardly believe ...I feel these spots pertain to the huge volcano's found off the coast of NSW that were around 25kms long .
Anyone else have theories on this ??
