Been detecting on and off for a few years now

Haven't had too much success really...haven't hit the ounce mark yet!

Welcome to the forum Nb. I'm sure that with some searching through the threads, the info gained will see you convert the gold you already have to well over the ounce in no time. Feel free to get involved with the posts and ask any questions you may have. All the very best of luck with it all.

Cheers Wal.

Thanks for the welcome

Walnliz,

Since reading thru the info on this site. I've been trying to convert my gold to an ounce but I must be missing out a step in the instructions!

NB - :)

The missing step is 'walking over gold'. Don't know where you are but good luck with the ouncer.

Location has a wee bit to do with the equation. Putting yourself where the bigger bits are more common can require some extended trips. The Triangle and WA can give you a big advantage.....but as loamer says...you still got to swing that coil over them. To me an ounce of little ones is more rewarding than a single ounce piece. :)

Takes a while to hit the OZ and getting harder to find these days but you never know what you will find out there

Yeah, I find myself sorta wishing that if gotten interested in detecting 20 years ago!

Nuggets on the surface here in Vic and all that...

Walnliz,

Yeah that's part of the problem, I think... I can really only get away from town for a day at a time maximum. By the time I take travel time out (4, 5, 6 hrs) it doesn't leave much time I the ground...
