Hi all,

I have been prospecting for past 5 years mainly in WA goldfield areas, purchased the Zed detector this year and retained the trusty/proven 4500. Recently downloaded and installed the software update for Zed but yet to go and try it out - getting a bit too warm so will wait till next season. Wife has an SDC2300 after catching some fever walking the fields, all 3 detectors have been finding enough nice colour to keep the fever running. Usually attempt to control fever with a couple of cold drinks at end of days detecting and after collecting the camp fire material.

Consider our selves as hobbyists and enjoy spending times "out in the bush" with our Bushtracker mobile home.

Cheers to all,
PetrG

welcome pergola, wonder if you are a shift worker too or just posting late:) Cracking arsenal of detectors and your transport sounds spot on....looking forward to hearing your insights and seeing pics of past & future finds.

Thanks guys for the warm welcomes, appreciated :)

Hi Stru, work is a bad 4 letter word these days as I've been retired for past 5 years during which time we have travelled the black roads, gravel roads and plain dusty/corrugated roads with our BT and fit in as much time as we want strolling the gold fields enjoying our finds when they come along. Only shortish detecting period this year as 26k travels occupied much of our time; roads travelled include Great Central, Savannah Way, Peninsula Dev't Road (Cape York), Nullabor Plain plus numerous others in all states except Vic. & Tas.

Great life and pleased to be able to live this life style and expect to continue for as long as we can. 2016 should see much more gold hunting time and already looking forward to it.

Cheers all,
Peter G
