Finally finished the project today.
I also built a hand dredge.
Im heading out to get some 'pay dirt' from a local creek tomorrow and give the new toy a "wet" test.

I think maybe I need to increase the angle a bit cos my water flow is not as high as I would like.

Add thanks to Wal for his specifications.
I have made a few mods to suit my available materials etc but the design came from Wals sample.

Ill be thanking him even more if it works!

Can I make a suggestion Shane. If you cut the classifier down to around two thirds the length of the banker you'd be better able to see the water and clearing rates of the sluice, and still have room to see nuggets and gems.

The banker needs quite a bit of water pressure if you use my version, so hope the pump can handle at least 160Lm. A single spray bar would give you far more room to shovel the gravel in.

Great construction mate and hope the gold cooperates,

Wal.

I watched your vids tonight and I agree.
I will be changing the spray bar set up and shortening the classifier.
I was running the water from the tap at home which is a pressure pump fed from a rainwater tank. No scheme water here.
The water was about half what I need.
I will be buying a pump and setting up a 1000lt tank with a recovery system so I can run the system at home.
I will take the Highbanker out to some alluvial grounds once the wet finishes up here. Most good spots are in flood.
Meanwhile I will be bringing dirt home from some local creeks which I will retrieve with my hand dredge.
I will be swinging the 5000 around while out there to see if I can find some relics or even some gold!

I will be adding the bread crate soon as a second option to experiment.
Also Im not happy with the miners moss material I have. I will be sourcing something that has the rubber backing like yours.

Thanks for your help.

Sounds great mate....If you need any personal advice just send me a PM and I'll help you out where i can.

Cheers Wal.

I have changed the spray bar and classifier and this week Ill be sourcing a bread crate and some of that carpet to replace the moss.
I have found that the hose at home is really lacking in water flow so the next expense will be a pump with 160lpm flow min.

I put some material through today as a test run and found a few spots of flour gold in my pans.
So far so good.

Look forward to taking it out to a river out of town where gold should be more plentiful and give it a real test.
