My first time.

My first time was rough. It was painful......but I can't wait to do it again. Went out around Sydenham hill. Found several bits of lead, a hell of a lot of bits of rusty steel, alas the only nuggets I found came from a roo or a wombat. The SDC was ok. Just didn't find anything this time worth keeping. It did not like all the trash. Even on 1 it screamed like a banshee over a nail. Got told to try down further towards the railway track with the GPX. Digging in quartz and gravel so I'm in the ballpark I guess.

Keep on goin chewy. It will eventually be a piece of yella. It happened to me, nail after nail, slug after slug and then, Yahoooo!!!!!

Thanks I'll keep at it. Gunna try my luck again tomoz after I head into Bendigo for a look. I planned on going home tomoz but depending on how I feel I might stay another day yet.
