I wasnt finding gold, 6 hours friday and 2 hours saturday when i hit the penny , it was just in time as my spirit was broken ,
It was a rush and dash trip ,planned on thursday ,3hrs travel each way 5 or 6 hrs detecting each day, pub in the middle, home by dark saturday ,
so the preasure was on and i had done my homework and was hitting the edges of some out of the way diggings (on the common), getting lots of old undug lead and probably 40 lead ballz and 15+ squashed lead ballz that were under the loamy dirt on the clay/gravels that sounded more like gold than gold does
, really starting to loose the plot i was :brokenh: when,
The detector gave a curvy tone to loud to be anything good but didnt overload like iron junk , i scraped the 3inches of pale dirt off to the orange stuff and to surprise it was still in the hole :Y: , near blew my headphones off that swing , so mumbling negatively i scraped another inch off and out it came
It lifted my spirits enough to finish that patch and do another plus a little 10x10 area that caught my eye.
Great trip worth the rush and i would recommend the royal for winter accommodation at $60 for bed, breakfast and dinner choice from menu :Y: the portahouse steak i had was priced at $25 , so theres value there :Y: .
