Thanks Guessologist, found this in a churchyard where I'd dug up a few threepences, this time cranked the sensitivity to 24 & amongst the chatter was this one.

Wrecker it's a sad day when the "gouge" happens. I found a 1920 shilling first time out & dug it out with a shovel, beautiful coin with 2 gouges of my doing. I try hard not to repeat that.
