I have recently been to Misery Creek at Enfield detecting & was taken back by the amount of diggings in the area
I also saw plenty of signs of recent panning activity in the creek.

When i was there there the creek was dry & was wondering how often the creek flows.
How much rain is required before the creek flows?

My guess is that there would be reasonable panning in the creek if there was water
Any info would be appreciated

Gday Dirty Harry,
Misery Creek hasn't flowed for the last few years, it gets a few puddles in spots but your best to take your own water if you can.
It's been hit really hard over the years but still can give up some yellow.
Cheers Steve :)

Steve,

Be bloody difficult to take the water to the creek so i imagine that i would have to take the dirt to the water
I guess taking buckets of dirt from the creek back to the water in the back of the ute ute would be the go
Panning from a chair next to the water tap in the ute sounds like a plan.
Could even have an esky filled with ice cold beer next to the chair
If only it was that easy
Knowing my luck as soon as i set up the heavens will open an flood the creek

Regards

Dirty Harry

I've taken 3x20litre drums of water down there myself without a problem, you could take a wheel barrow with you as well,
taking your own water with you works well processing tailings from mulloch heaps Too.
water ever works is good.
Cheers Steve ;)
