Mine Filming

Hello guys, my name is Jonathan, I found this forum while sourcing some locations for film.

I'm trying to find safe, accessible mines that can be used for filming?

I was in Blackwood, Victoria last week sourcing miner cabins and abandoned buildings etc which are great, but we are hoping to find some mines if anyone can help? hopefully one with tracks and within 2 hours drive from melbourne?

are you after big long ones with shafts or wet or dry ones or ones with rails and props left inside ?

send me a pm i have some spots in mind me and a another member on the forum go to blackwood often and can help you find one but theres better ones around than just AT blackwood but let me know what sort of things your after in an old mine relics too not to keep but to film

Mine equipment/tracks etc would be great also, although we will need a mine without tracks too.

Look to the left. Under my avatar you can see some information about me and 2 buttons... EMAIL and Message. Click on the email button to email me or any other member.

To enable your email go into your Profile at the very top, right of the page. There are some options to the left. Click on Privacy and there you can enable email and messaging. You cannot access the Message system until you have ten posts. This is a security measure to prevent spammer etc.

Yep got it, all good just need 10 posts, is there another way around this? as I don't want to spam the forum.

Having a look at HTY's thread, bloody awesome. The dryer mines in Maldon & Maryborough are ideal, if something comes up ill contact you via that thread, awesome pics.
