Members Details

I have noticed that there are a lot of members who have not offered Town or State to their details!
Now I understand that many would like to stay anonymous for various reasons.
I do not believe that supplying Town or State details would give away who you are by your forum name.
I do think it would be good to know how many are locals to you and areas of interest.
Lets face it if you go on group outings, you will end up meeting members eventually.
If you are not offended by this suggestion, could old and new members update their details.

I agree Ned but some may have just skipped that part when registering or were going to wait until they got the feel for the forum & members. Some people may just be very private - no stress either way for me...

Like Ag Man said... A lot of people keep their info private.
You can get some idea of where people live by the places they prospect.
Some even though they don't have their hometown with the Avatar, have mentioned it in the introduction they make.
There a quite a few of us in there Newcastle, Lower Hunter area.

I agree with what you're saying Ned, it would be great if Members would consider adding at least some basic details to their profile, but ultimately it is up to the individual. I appreciate you caring enough to post this and hopefully it'll prompt a few members to update their profiles. There's also a bunch of settings in there that control various aspects of the forum which perhaps some people mightn't have been aware of.
