McKirk sluice mods

Time for a sluice! The AM range seems a mighty good deal so I'm ready to make a purchase. Just cleaned up some cons from one and boy oh boy can they catch the good stuff. Anyhow other than highbanker conversions anyone done any types of mods? I think I'll go grubsteak and then boss in a few weeks and use one under the trommel, but i was having visions of miners moss and v matting etc. Any advice out there? Tia.

I tried a foreman in a high banker many many moons ago but they can't handle enough volume for me. Plus they are very sensitive to water flow rate

I wasted a lot of shovelling time and was spitting lots of fine gold out the end of it .

As a river sluice however I don't mind them too much especially with chunky gold but fine gold ? ? ? Nah
