Hi everyone, I joined the forum a while ago but forgot to introduce myself. I'm from a little town about 80km south of Ballarat. I'm not so much interested in prospecting, but learning about Australia's mining history.

Perhaps I may write a book, wouldn't peg myself an author though. I'm documenting the old mine sites in my area. It involves photographing any relics I come across (but not touching) and also any ruins of buildings that were involved in the mining process. I've found a source online detailing how the mines were ran and their output etc. Geovic is a massive help in that regard.
