Hi there,
I am Kate and I lived for almost a year in Freo.
Then I returned to Germany going back to work.
But: I think I have inherited the genes of my ancestors, who were used to fossicking.
My next trip to Australia will be in 2015, doing the CSR North to South and I would like to do some fossicking on that trip.
But: I need your help and I appreciate any advice due to the fact that that special ancestor died 20 years ago and I didn't had any interest in that hobby during that time.
My hobbies are fishing (I am the Queen in catching Blowies), when I am in Australia.
Bushwalking (Walyunga, John Forrest NP and Northern Italy).
So I hope to get some information.

welcome to the room

did your ancestor leave any notebooks from when they did fossicking here ?

if you find one it might give you a place to begin :)

if not , then sit quietly and meditate , you might hear the voice of your ancestors telling you where to look :)))

Well my ancestors didn't do fossicking in Australia... but in Germany.
I inherited those genes, I think.
But I love Australia and the bush.....
So I thought, well after searching our ground and found plenty of nails, screws, Ironpieces... I like that.
I really like digging holes.
But I would love to do it in Australia! Because you can combine going bush with digging.

Why sitting quietly while meditating? I thought walking through the bush, earth focused, is meditating????? !!!!!

yes but the ground is very hard in many parts of australia

if you can dig like a wombat you are sure to find something :)

yes there are many forms of meditation ( over 100 different styles )

your method might give a peaceful mind and connection with the earth

enquiry meditation might give answers when you require solutions

open meditation with a heart based respect to your ancestors might open communication with them so you can ask them where to look for gold ;)

from where they are , they might have clearer understanding of all things than we do

depends what you believe in , some people dont believe in ghosts . spirits , or reincarnation.

:)

Hi Kate,
Welcome to the forum, I am sure you will find the information you are seeking on this & other forums, there is a forum dedicated to "detecting west Australian gold", but I'm not allowed to mention it by name here, so do your research & all will be well.

@gadgetman45: Bibra Lake, my neighbourhood!
Thank you for the good advice!

@the duck: I will, I definetely will.
And I am looking forward for it. :)
