Hi Everyone just want to say hello from the Uk
i have joined because im looking at next year come to Australia for 2 mth and want to get some ideas and places i can go and information
my detectors are as follows

Minelab GPX 500 LOTS OF COILS
Minelab nox 800

i fancy maybe hiring a camper van i have one in the uk SO ALSO LOOKING FOR CAMP SITES
so to start with im looking for places i could go for gold prospecting how to find them and how to get permission
would like to make contacts before i leave UK

I HAVE SO MUCH TO ASK AND LEARN

If you intend to travel in Australia, this book is very helpful. I strongly suggest you buy it and have a read before you start out on your Oz adventure.

Each state has different regulations about prospecting, so it's best to check out the thread on here about each state's regulations.

For Victoria, for example, you'll need a Miner's Right that you can purchase online at http://earthresources.vic.gov.au/earth-resources-regulation/recreational-prospecting-and-fossicking. And this website will give you the rules and regs about prospecting in Victoria.

Check other states for their regulations.

Hi Dave welcome aboard. As mentioned above Australia is one large place with weather at times hot enough to cook you the next freeze a frog. The sites you'll see are unforgettable and I guess defecting in another country is extra special.
