Hi GD, welcome to the forum. There is plenty of info here. Are you mainly interested in wet prospecting with the sluice and pan, or dry prospecting with a detector?

Hi GD. Apart from the open mineshafts, snakes, scorpions, blue jellyfish, crocodiles and Bunyips there is really nothing to worry about.

Drop bears, scorpions, centipedes, blue ringed octopuses, red back and funnel web spiders, kangaroos on the road plus the occasional idiot. perfectly safe here and we don't have many earthquakes which is good.
