Paul
Hope you are all OK in 2020.
My name is Paul and I started detecting in 2009 after a work mate showed me how his detector could find coins at the local beach.
I was absolutely amazed at how it could find hidden coins in all that sand.
Fast forward to 2020 and there are now 8 detectors on my shelf.
Over time, most of my detecting friends have dropped out of the hobby for various reasons / injuries. I thought I'd join up here to share finds and talk detecting, maybe learn a thing or two.
My favourite detector is the TDI Pro and it has stood up well to years of beach usage.
Once I watched it float off in fast current as it fully submerged and sank 8.(
It still works (after a bit of TLC) and has sniffed out a nice find on its first post-lockdown hunt. I'll post it up in the Member Finds section tomorrow.
Anyway better keep this intro short and see you all in the forum.
