iPad issues

I have no problems posting just text comments from my iPad but when I try to add a photo from my iPad the "chose file" button is faded out so I can't select it to browse and choose my photo, so then I have to do it from my PC. Is there a program or something that I need on my iPad so I am able to upload photos?

Are you referring to the "Browse" button being greyed out? Is it not click-able at all?

On my Android device it takes several seconds after pushing the button for the next button to be available. If ya too fast it doesn't work.
Waiting for the actual upload I assume.

Yep Rod's right, depending on the size of the file and upload speed of the device, it can take a moment for the image to upload and the link to appear in the post.

For large files you may need to download an image editing program to reduce the file size before uploading. Max image file size = 1024KB or 1MB

I have attached a photo of what shows up on my ipad when I go to attached photos. This is with out me even clicking on anything.

That's a strange one Ryan. I just tested it out on my Wife's iPad and it's working fine on there. I'm guessing the window is already open in the background hence why you can't open it again. Could you try restarting the device and reporting back?

It's working fine for me. I'm curious as to how you were able to upload the iPad screen shot Ryan as its the same process.

I found i had an update on my iPad, so did the update, now the button seems to be working. Thanks.

Upload photos/ files do not work on apple devices that have an IOS version that is less than 6. This is not a problem that is specific to this forum, the problem is that IOS version 5 and lower do not support this function via the web.

The button is greyed out for me as well but that is because I have chosen not to upgrade my IOS since 6 came out (didn't want to lose google maps.

Theres a little keyboard key on the right half bottom right corner. Hold it, slide your finger up to Merge and Dock.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for bringing this up. Now Carol has gone and tried this on her I Pad and even with the fix mentioned it took her a couple of minutes to fix it. She was getting a bit worried too. I kept thinking of the old saying " If it's not broken, don't touch it." It looked funny from where I was sitting.. ]
