Inverell area

Im heading to Inverell in a few weeks time and I was hoping to do some detecting while Im up there.
Anyone know of an area thats worth a visit around there?
Whether it be a declared fossicking ground or something as such.

Inverell is at 12 o clock
gives you an idea what is around that area
others will be able to give advice on no go areas as they come on

hi Aron, no great gold occurrences in inverell, bring your sieves as there is
sapphires to be found, as is quartz crystals such as smokeys and tourmalated quartz.
google fossicking Inverell and you will find plenty of info.
winter there now if you like mornings in the minus'es.
when you arrive it pays to look in at the tourist information centre,
an Aladdin cave of mouth watering gems from the Inverell area.
i believe there is a crew drilling for Diamonds there now,Arduro minerals.
Inverell diamonds are reportably the hardest in the world, you can try your
luck at staggy creek for diamonds, schorl and topaz. good luck.
