Introduction

Hi, I am from Bendigo and new to this forum.
I have recently bought myself a new toy, the SDC 2300. Although new to gold detecting, I learned to pan for gold years ago, so I guess I am having a second childhood using modern technology.
I have a growing collection of rusty metal bits, and lead shot, but alas, the only gold I have so far is my jewellery and a phial of alluvial gold panned years ago!
I would welcome any advice or hints, especially from anyone who is from Bendigo area.

Welcome to PA Kazzaa.

You already have an advantage over many, living in Bendigo! Lots of places to search around there, right on your doorstep.

Sorry, I can't help you with the detector info, but I'm sure there are others on here who can.

Or you could try using the search function for SDC 2300 - it may give you many threads with info on them.

Hi Kazzaa, welcome, I am in Bendigo as well. If you want to catch up and maybe find some different areas to search. PM me. I will be going out sunday/ Monday. I have a 4500 but have used a 2300 for nearly a year. No guarantee to find gold but I have found gold in the areas. Others welcome to tag along.
