Hi, I thought it might be more interesting to accompany my introduction post with my saved finds after about 20 hours of detecting :)
(In Sydney and have been detecting for about a month now, a Canadian friend I met overseas at the beginning of the year got me into it. So far using a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV as a test run with my At Pro in transit at the moment!

Among the finds the oldest coin is a 1938 half penny.

The One Ring! First ring that I found in a park last week. I was pretty excited at the time, unfortunately it is a cheap plated copy of the ring from Lord of the Rings. still a fun find though.

Found on a beach the day after I found my first ring! With the 925 engraving I hope its Sterling silver and not a cheap knock off.

Needless to say I'm Hooked.

Hi WTG. Welcome. Great start to your detecting career. Addictive isn't it :D Thanks for sharing your finds. We love to see them.
You will love the At Pro. I have one and I've been doing really well with it. Takes a while to get confident with any new detector.
Was over a year before I found my first ring.

Cheers

That is a great start, looks like silver rings are your specialty

Welcome to the forum

Thats about the 4th Lord of the Rings find posted on this forum - obviously the marketing of the movie did well :) Some nice finds there - the beach is where it's at!
