Hi,
Stumbled across this forum doing some research to help my son with his new founded hobby (that is quickly becoming an addiction) I am new to forums and should have been in bed two hours ago but could not stop reading all the posts, so thanks to everyone for sharing your experience. I bought my son an Xterra 305 for Christmas and we have been hitting the beaches of an evening once a week or so, as it is a good excuse to get outside and spend some time together. He is 11 and is having a bit of success, coins, rings, watches etc, but if measured in fun, he has had a lot of success. As in a lot of the posts I have read, we are still learning a lot about the capability of his machine (which I realise is an entry level machine) and the best way to scan beaches and retrieve objects. We are certainly cleaning up some Central Coast Beaches in the meantime. Hopefully we can share some experiences, and learn from you guys and girls. Bit reluctant to hit parks etc at the moment until we have the right digging equipment etc, but have picked up some great tips. Thanks.
