Intro at last

Hi all
I'm Cairns based and interested in fossicking,prospecting and detecting.
Joined up last year but haven't done much, been waiting for the rain and warm weather to move on. Have found a few specks with the pan and some nice leaf with the detector and getting keen to get back for some more.
I run an SDC2300 and a minelab pinpointer,several screens,a couple of pans and a small pick and shovel. Would love to get a small sluice one day and somewhere to use it.
When fossicking I'm mostly after sapphires, have found some nice colour with a few cutters albeit small but am interested in all sorts of gemstones.
Have all the camping gear and in the process of upgrading to a 4wd so that I can get to a few more places.
Always interested in a trip if anyone's keen on getting out and is looking for some company.

Thanks everyone. I get so involved in getting out and doing it that I forget to do the paperwork.
