in Portland NSW with CTX 3030 ?????

Hello people.
I am in Portland NSW ... its near Bathurst & Lithgow. I have a CTX 3030 and 2 days on my hands.
I am from VIC so have no idea of where I should do some detecting? Any suggestions of where to detect and where to avoid would be really appreciated.

Hi Robert, your not far from Sunny Corner there - 16km. Should be some areas to check around there. You'll need a State Forest permit though for most areas.

If you can get your hands on some topographic maps of Portland & Capertee they should show areas with ruins & old mines that may be of interest & accessible.

Hey thank you. The relos I am staying with tell me the front of the house i am in comes from that spot which apparently was a gold field?
