Last few hunts, I have been digging iffy signals at depth. Numbers all over the place, falling short of getting anything near an even tone, but the good numbers are there, and so are the good sounds. I am finding that nearly half of the time, that these signals end-up being good finds. I think that as beginners, we look for nice even tones, and steady numbers. But, eventually we should look to dig iffys. Play around with the target, and try to pinpoint a place where it sounds slightly better :)

Digging iffy signals at depth is my standard dig.

It slows the coverage down but once an area is done I can move on pretty happy I got most of the cool stuff. A few times I have found a good find very close to or even under a piece of junk.

My motto would be

"If in doubt dig it out"
