Well I finaly jioned the SDC club and I cant wait to get out and get it working, just need this bad weather to go away .

You don't have to wait for the bad weather to clear mate. Sdc is water proof as.

SDC may be waterproof BUT ... too many are thinking their cars are invincible, too many getting bogged out there, be cautious people, the gold will wait
Cheers Tom.

And welcome to the SDC club all of you who have purchased one recently ....

Well been out three times with my new SDC and im thinkn its a great detector, very sensitive on small lead shot and bloody foil ,if i find anymore of both (Lead, foil) i am going to loose my s___t as today I was out with a mate and he down one side of the hill and i went down the other side I found a mssaive quorts blow and so i started there and that's where the first lot of shot started so after a few more i moved further away and found some old mines so i done the walls and got a signal half way down, i thought you beauty must be a little bit of gold ,but NO another bloody bit of shot I sat there for a bit tring not to cry as i a as over lead and i thought i was on a winner but no ,not yet
So i went out last weekend with my oldest boy we found bullets and shot ,we went in between two mines and my head almost got blown of my shoulders a massive lump of steal ,as i dug it out it wasnt just a lump of steal it turned out to be a old very old pick ,so cool and my boy claimed straight away .
Today i also found a lump of quorts that was give me a signal so i broke it up into a smaller peace to take home so ive got still check that out but it was a nice signal to so thats how its going for now hope to find gold with it soon how much rubbish do i have to pick up before gold i mean really how much
By for now

Keep at it Roverrock , it will turn for you . I average 20m+ pellets per bit of gold and Ive found about 150 baby nuggies . You can do the sums on the shot total , thats not counting any other rubbish . Keep at it and hope you and your son enjoy prospecting forever .

Cheers
goldrat

This much x 100?

Quartz looks interesting. Does it give a signal on all sides or only one spot? Certainly looks like the right mix for gold to be present.

Roverrock we still come across detector operators dropping their aluminium cans into the fire. Either that or they brake off their pull tabs and flick them at the fire while his mate leaves his stubby screw top behind and then while they are wandering about swinging they drop their foil lolly wraps.

The old rubbish is somewhat excusable and a good sign that that patch hasn't been cleaned out but when people who claim to enjoy the bush do the same there's no excuse.

Yeh retirement stone get a signal only from the top that you can see in t g e pic so tomorrow ill be tapping it with a hammer to see whats causing the signal .
I know about people leaving there rubbish it dose **** me that they do that but i also look at it that no one has picked it up a then detected it so there is a chance of finding something

Keen to see that rock full of gold cracked open :p :p

I cleaned up a load of foil balls and started to curse someone for being devious. It wasn't until I detected a small bird skeleton with a small silver foil ball in its gut contents that I realised the birds were dining on rubbish at the local tip and shitting little pellets all over the countryside.

Had to reflect for a while and curse myself as I wrapped my scraps from the night before in the foil I used on the BBQ and placed them in the NPWS bins. guess we're thay take the rubbish.... the local tip. Sometimes we need to blame ourselves. :8
