Greetings all, thought its about time I start my own finds thread.. Which also allows me to document it all in one place for my own future reference too
When life gets in the way of hitting the goldfields with the 4500 i enjoy getting the x-terra out in my spare time, and i must say theres plenty of inspiration on this forum seeing all the cool old coins & relics everyone digs up!
Over the past few months with a bit of research iv hit some areas local to me, & not so local..
First being a World War 2 military camp, which so far iv been to twice for about 6 hours total swing time. I think Iv barely scratched the surface so far as the area is pretty big & a bit overgrown, & only a few old building foundations remaining..
I was pretty stoked to come across the aussie forces button The condition of all the finds are fairly poor, i think the ground stays fairly damp most of the time & maybe a little acidic? 8.(
Second visit..
I was surprised these shaving cream tubes lasted so well, buried since 1942 era.. i verry carefully unrolled them, like a used toothpaste tube! :8
I plan on getting back to this spot as soon as im able, i reckon theres a lot more still waiting.
More to follow & Cheers for looking
