New to the forum and new to prospecting. I've been collecting scrap metal so I can afford my first metal detector. I finally got my sdc2300 a couple months ago and have been going out as much as possible. Living in Sydney's south it has been hard work getting to gold fields. So far I've tried Ophir, Yalwal (wish I new about this forum before going there) and today I ended up in Oallen where I met a member of Prospecting Australia and he told me to join. I'm horrible with names so I wrote it in my phone, then I tried looking for my note and couldn't find it. I think his name was Jimmy.

I probably won't post to much in here as I'm not much of a computer person however I am already thankful for the information that the site has already given me and I look forward to connecting with people that have an interest in prospecting as I can't convince any of my friends to come searching with me.

Always good to see our ranks growing Wadjirr. Plenty of volunteers about this place who head out and about on a regular basis, shouldn't be to hard to meet up with some one for a bit of a fossick now the warmer months are here.
