Hi all. Name is Tony and new to the hobby.
Live and work in Central Queensland and in the area around where I currently live there has been a lot of gold mines worked over the last couple of centuries.
40 minutes north of my place a small town called Raglan boasts of a monster nugget found there in 1866, this thing weighed in at 14 kilos. So hoping to use a newly purchased second hand GPX5000 around some of the old sites.

Hi tonyj,
Like you im new to this hobby aswell and ive also put alot of research into our area. There are alot of old mines around that would be worth a swing its just a matter of getting permision from the land owners. Which i will be doing on my next days off.
