For any of those interested in such information you can try the following link to the World Mining Congresses site for world mining data. While that site also has diamond it is also useful to look at the Kimberley Process sites - I was a member of the Kimberley Process Working Group of Diamond Experts for a last several years. The Kimberley Process is the UN organisation that works against diamond smuggling. In 2012 we locked up a President for life! BooYa!.

It is interesting that in Australia we have the world's largest dimond mine by production volume. The Argyle Mine in the Kimberley of WA (and no the Kimberley is not named after Kimberley in South Africa) will produce, when fully up to speed, up to 20 million carats of diamonds annually.
