homemade longhandled beach scoop

made this on the weekend, pvc cost me about 8 dollars, and the handle is from an old mop. Am yet to test it! Call it prototype 1

Looks OK Rocket. Not sure the handle will be strong enough. Seen a few members do damage to shop bought stainless steel scoops.

I am iffy on the handle myself, and today I found a better handle option in the shed

Interesting to see how it stands up

Dry sand might be ok but a bit of wet/damp sand could have you in problems

will have to catch up one day on the beach

Looking at adapting a hand sand scoop into a long handle scoop myself using u bolts
and a handle from the inside of a a swimming pool net pole

Going to have to agree with GD here lads, mrs dwt bent one over my head last week, she said she was aiming at a wasp!!
