Gday everyone

I know this has probably been asked 1000 times before. But Im hoping someone can help me out. Where abouts at Hill End would be best for me to head with my GPX4500. Only just starting out and have found a little bit of the shiny stuff but of course Im chasing more. Im not asking for someone to reveal their all time secret hot spot, but just somewhere I could go that may show up a little piece or two
Also, any tips/hints/suggestions as to the fine tuning of the settings on my detector would be awesome too

Cheers everyone.

Aaron

I am sure Mr Hill End will weigh in with info.
Anywhere on the common is worth a shot.
More and more pieces are turning up frequently recently.

When you leave the pub and head towrds tambaroora turn left at lees lane which turns into Andersons road. (couple hundred metres past the pub)
On th right hand side of the road near Glendora camp ground you will see red hill which is worked but still produces.
Seriously try anywhere up any of the tracks or gullies.
The common is pretty big
I have the sdc so can't help with settings.

For $15 you can buy Doug Stones map which isn't going to be an x marks the spot but will give you a reasonable idea of where you can try as a starting point. As said above anywhere out there on the Common that looks good is worth a shot.
You can also download Avenza maps to phone/tablet & then buy Dougs map here https://www.avenzamaps.com/maps/625530/hill-end-gold-map
