there was to be some bush fire burn offs on the 18 th and 19 th at Hill End and Tambaroora in case anyone is up that way

you might have to be quick as other locals might have gone in there the day after the fires were out , assuming they have been finished

also , beware of widowmakers - branches are known to drop off trees in the days after a bushfire

Might want to make sure you have a very sound alibi first,...wouldn't want to get blamed for a fire,....just incase more burns than they were planning for.
 
Going in a day after it is out, is brave stuff.

You and your detector would be covered from head to toe in black ash soot, and not to mention what any hotspots will do to your coil.

I think the burns were called off due to the bit of rain we had earlier in the week, that's what one off the fire fighters told me

i spoke to the captain there , its been postponed for 2 weeks but i will phone them coupla days prior :8
